When making decisions, it's good to talk to God so that He can guide us in the right direction. This should be done first because if we don't, we can get in a lot of trouble, then we want God to fix it. Proverbs3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." It's just like planning to go to a new destination, we don't just go to driving. We use a GPS to guide us to our destination so we won't be lost. This must also be done in the spiritual because God may want us to go another way or have us handle problems differently. We must do this in all our ways and not pick and choose which issues in which we want His input. The sooner we learn this, the better. However, even if we've made some decisions that did not turn out well, we can still go to Him so He can give us an "alternate route," just like a GPS will do. So from this point on, let's acknowledge God in all our ways so we can stay on the right path!
